WWE SmackDown is the main event of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) which is a pro-wrestling TV Program. This event is also popular with the name Friday Night SmackDown because its new episodes come out every Friday. WWE SmackDown is a brand of WWE where all the wrestlers of WWE are hired to perform and do work on the stage. This is one of the two major events of WWE that flagship it. The other one is Monday Night Raw.

This event was first broadcast in 1999 on Thursday night on UPN. Later this show was shifted to the Friday night event in 2005. This show was first live on UPN and later it moved to another channel WB which is known as MyNetworkTV. In 2008, it moved to Syfy channel and broadcast there. It is now broadcast on the WWE partner channel USA Network every Friday Night. This TV program broadcasts more than 100 live shows in different arenas.
